Francis Hyatt is the Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he leads Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across the global enterprise. In demonstrating Liberty Mutual’s core belief that progress happens when people feel secure, Francis’ work amplifies the conviction that insurance is a socially responsible product, delivering security to people and businesses.
In his 30 years at Liberty Mutual, Francis has helped shape a wide range of leadership and workforce strategies. Most recently, he led the Enterprise Talent Practices organization, where he was responsible for the global talent and total rewards strategies for the Company. Throughout his tenure, Francis has spearheaded key strategic initiatives, including creating the business case to hire Liberty Mutual’s first Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, that have uniquely positioned him to lead the Company’s ESG efforts.
Francis holds a juris doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and a bachelor’s Degree in business from Bentley University. He serves on the board of directors of Boston Healthcare for the Homeless, Nobody’s Children in Windham, New Hampshire, and is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar and the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship’s Professional Services Sustainability Roundtable.
