Elise Chambers

Program Manager for Student, Postdoctoral, and MIT Engagement

As Program Manager, Elise Chambers helps advance the Consortium’s educational and engagement initiatives, including research and educational experiences for students, postdoctoral fellows, and working professionals. She engages with key stakeholders such as MCSC member companies, the MIT community, non-governmental organizations, and governments.

Elise has extensive experience in program management and strategic planning, and, as an MIT alumna and employee, a strong understanding of the Institute’s landscape. Most recently, she worked for Terrascope, a first-year learning community at MIT, where she managed program operations and developed community-strengthening strategies for the program. Working directly with students, faculty, and alumni, Elise oversaw many of the program’s areas, including fundraising, academic advising, and outreach and recruiting, as well as organized group travel and event planning.

Prior to Terrascope, Elise was an Environmental Consultant for Ramboll Environ, where she provided engineering, research, detailed review, field sampling, and analytical support to industrial clients for climate adaptation, health science, litigation, merger and acquisition, and industrial hygiene projects.

She holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering Science, with a concentration in Environmental Public Policy, from MIT.
