Christina Shim
IBM Chief Sustainability Officer
Christina Shim is the Chief Sustainability Officer for IBM. In this role, she leads the use of hybrid cloud and AI technologies to accelerate progress towards greater business and sustainability stewardship across IBM’s operations, supply chain, products, and services. She previously served as the Global Head of IBM Sustainability Software, and is also on IBM’s Responsible Technology Board and on the Responsible Business Executive Steering Committee. She has been at the intersection of business, technology, and impact for 20 years.
Prior to IBM, Christina was a global management consultant as a builder and leader with Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bain & Co, and Palladium International in New York, London, Singapore, and Washington DC. She also worked at the Central Intelligence Agency. Christina serves as an Independent Director for 1-800-Flowers.com, a NASDAQ-listed company, has mentored entrepreneurs at various venture funds and has served on the Board / as an Advisor to fintech and climate tech startups, accelerators, non-profits, and to Princeton and Columbia University. She was recognized as one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen on climate change in 2023 and has been featured in press / media, including with Forbes, NYSE Floor Talk, Bloomberg, Fortune, Reuters, Politico, AI and Sustainability, CNBC and others.
